The truth is always better in my opinion. Half-truths meant to distract and manipulate– that’s bad.

But the full truth…if it somehow makes you look bad…then you probably did something wrong. if you are lying to "keep things together, keep things from falling apart.", that’s a selfish form of lying that benefits you.

if it hurts others while you are doing it, that’s even worse.

At first,i haven’t spoken neither wrote in english for a couple of year so try, just once.

Do you Have a "concienceness" (lost my dictionnary)of what you say ?.I mean can you hear what you mean by language expression?

For my part, it’s a "rare" thing when i can be understood. Always miss interpretation ..i think that words have different meanings/persons. (et viva l’esperanto!)Must be a lot of work till there. Too young probably.

But i’m running in and running in and running away..;).

So What i’d like to say about you topic:keeping is mouth closed is (to my way)that you may have 2 motivations:
1/with compassion to the other; motivation=NOT HURT)
or 2// with a little demon upon your shoulder; motiv=SECRET LAUTH.)

I’m only 23 and may still "naîve" (hope for a long time) and to my way you just can’t lye completely your reason or "volontée" just can’t stand such a thing (can’t imagine it).

Of course you can tell a lye…But play it completely requires to have a great power toward the person in front of you and a voice whith no re(a)sonnance…..
