What’s for donner?
Today, human meat is on the menu.

The Donner party is famous because they chose to eat fallen members
of their party as they braved the Oregon Trail rather than die of
starvation and exhaustion. It’s said that almost all the few that
survived went mad from the traumatic ordeal of eating human flesh.

It wasn’t a game to them.

To most of us the thought of eating another human being is one of
the most disgusting things we can imagine. Books, movies, even pop
culture deals with the terror of cannibalism all the time.

What are vampires, if not a romantisized form of cannibalism?

… but the question looming on my mind is:

Would you do it if you had to?

I don’t know if I would be able to. There are even animals that
make me shudder to eat. Once, while eating a delectible asian treat
that was one of my favorites as a child, I read that whale was used to
create it.

I threw up, and have never been able to eat them since.

However, I wasn’t starving, my life wasn’t on the line, and really,
I’ve never truly known hunger. As horrifying as it sounds, I can’t
bring myself to rule out the possibility that I might succumb to
hunger, even knowing that I might go insane from the guilt later on.

I can’t rule out anything that would happen in such a state of duress.

Especially if it was someone I didn’t know. Especially if they were already dead.

No really! I’ve been watching “The Flava of Love”, which is like the bachelor, only Flava Flav is the bachelor. [Or as he says it.. the “Black-chelor”] Honestly, it is one of the greatest shows that is on TV right now. Hands down.

Anyways, I kind of left the TV on in the background with that show running, and right after the show they started playing a documentary on Flav, and something immediately caught my ear.

Flava Flav and I HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY!

What’s in a birthday?

So, there are people who would say that your date of birth actually means something. That something in the way the stars are aligned blah blah blah…

Seriously, though, is that really true?

After finding out that Flav and I share the same birthday, I became curious as to who else I shared birthdays with… Which brought me to this site… Where you can search by birthdate for celeb names.

I mean, sure Flava Flav and I share differences, but I guess if you really look at it, we’re a bit similar in personality. So, I decided to see if that was true for the rest of the famous people who were born on my birthday.

But no, apparently most people who are born on the same day as me aren’t famous enough for me to know who they are.

With the exception of Kevin Smith and a couple of others, I actually don’t recognize any of the names. A little disappointing… But I really like Kevin Smith, so I guess that makes up for it.

Dogma was one of my favorite movies of all time.

So what do you guys think? Are we moulded by the date that we are born on? Do you believe the superstitions?

Do me, Flava Flav and Kevin Smith share some kind of beautiful destiny?

and… What stars were born on your birthday?
