Partying and getting wasted…
Natsukashi natsukashi….
When I first started college I used to party a LOT. Not the usual
thursday night that most people have, I had what Lan
fondly
refers to as “Fraturundays” [though we didn’t really know each other back
then, apparently we had similar lifestyles] . A typical
weekend for me
would have been something like this:
Friday night: | Party. |
Friday noon: | Finally fall asleep |
Satuday night: | Party |
Sunday 4am: | Leave[still buzzing no doubt] to meet my fellow CircleK-ers to do some service project [Like AIDs Walk. or March of Dimes… or any other fucking 4AM piece of shit we always had to do. ![]() |
Sunday noon: | Finally get back from the community service project and crash until my classes on Monday |
You may think because of this schedule that I was quite the resiliant
19/20 year old. However, that was not actually the
case. I’ve always had the weakest immune system known to
man. At times, I’ve wondered if I have a sexless version of AIDs.
As a result of this lifestyle and the fact that I am weaksauce
health-wise, for my first two years of college I was in a perpetual
state of sickness. I actually got USED to coughing, having a
stuffed nose, and feeling overall miserable.
Somehow I was just able to live through life with a perpetual fog around myself.
Strength to bear it no more
Why I rarely go out
These days, I probably go out once or twice a month — and they’re
definitely not faterundays anymore. They’re just a friday
night. Or a saturday night — and honestly, it’s enough.
The only problem is that while I still have the immune system of
a newborn calf, I’m used to the feeling of being healthy, so when I
inevitably get sick 2 or 3 days after my night of escapades, I totally
shut down and wait for myself to feel better.
After you’re sick perpetually from November to the following August,
you never again feel that a few days of bodily shut down is too much to
handle if you can prevent a prolonged sickness again.
What did you used to do when you were younger that you’re not physically able to do now?
