F*** cancer!
..better yet, PWN cancer!

Of all the other feelings that I
have right now, the ones that stand out the most to me are anger and
helplessness.

Anger that one of the most positive,
successful, kind people I know has to go through this when there are
people out there who deserve it so much more. Not that anyone
deserves cancer, but if there was a ranking involved, he would be more
along the lines of Mother Theresa in my
book.

Helplessness.

That’s even
worse. At least I can do something about the
anger. I want to do something, anything to
help. There’s nothing I can do. I can’t even pray
because I don’t believe in anything to pray to.

Just
hope.

And be angry.

that’s what i would do. it’s just the logical choice. cancer research already recieves millions yearly.

Yes. Be Angry. But turn your anger into something useful. Anger is a powerful thing when properly focused.Life isn’t fair. It pisses me off too.But there isn’t much we can do about it. We can roll with it and be bitches to the whims of fate — or like I said in today’s entry:”When life hands you a lemon, fuck making lemonade. Take life by the neck, knock it to its knees and shove the fucking lemon down its throat.”My point is, be angry but focus your anger into something that’s positive.

Are the people who read your blog fucking morons?
Ramblings of a Cunt Hair should at the very least double check her comments before posting.
On top of all that, it’s quite easy to discern from my picture that I am a guy. However, I can understand, with a nose like that blocking her vision, how she may have made such an erroneous assumption.

I don’t care if it goes to cancer or bras.  I’ve always enjoyed your writing and I believe that you’ll do what you say.  I don’t know anyone who has cancer.  I’d imagine I would be devastated if I had a friend/family member diagnosed with the affliction.  Just don’t have a post a couple days later about donating to a battered wives fund.  What good is money if it can’t be used for good?  I’d waste it on coffee or snacks anyway.  I can do without for a little while, if it means helping a friend of yours suffer less for the rest of his life.Have a good one.  Tits and tumors, hooray.

*hopes & is angry.*pwn cancer from the behind … awesome . You know, I don’t really know anyone that even has cancer though, so it’s not the same for me . I guess I can’t really feel what you’re going through . Sorry for not being able to … relate?Hope you feel much better :] I remember I read once in a story that cancer didn’t pick the right people, cancer chose blindly. I really liked that . Hmm, I might be able to find where i found that … oh I’m too lazy . But it was a beautiful sentence :]hope you feel so much better . diana

This probably doesn’t help much with your friend, but my mom has lymphome and she’s been treated and it’s in remission. I’m younger than you, but I think I can say that your friend will be the same person (so don’t freak him out with morbidity if possible).

Thanks for your sweet reply! I’m glad you don’t think my thoughts overly geeky :PI noticed you were involved with computers as a profession, so maybe that helped. :) One place I found recently online that is incredible for a glimpse at the future and what it holds is livescience. A lot of the innovations I heard of came from there.http://www.livescience.com/technology/In particular, on that page right now, you will notice a “worlds smallest car gets motor”. That’s an example of the new technology I mentioned that could help your friend one day. It is dry nanotech right now- but one day could be part of what gets used in surgery as “wet nanotech” (ie- nanotech used inside a biological organism). Of course, this is like comparing the first flight ever to a jet plane- but then again, it only took decades. Maybe much faster here.:)

i lost my grandmother, who raised me, to lung cancer. my stepgrandmother just had a double masectomy, and her husband is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. i hope you’ll understand if i don’t donate, and rest assured that plenty of my resources are spent dealing with cancer. as a writer, the power of the word ‘cancer’ in our figurative language fascinates me. when something is detrimental or destructive, we call it ‘cancerous’ rather than any of the other degenerative and debilitating diseases we could have used for this metaphor, and i think that goes to show the profundity of the fear invoked by cancer on our societal conscious. we don’t seem to read each other’s blogs often, but i added you to my friends list in hopes that it will bring me here more often; i usually like what you have to say. take care.

the world operates in wierd ways. I once knew a woman, young thirties, intelligent, educated, kind, sweet, and pretty. She had a promising career ahead of her. She had two young baby boys, really cute and playful. She orginally wanted two children, but also wanted a daughter. The third time around, she got a daughter. But during her pregnancy, they discovered the mom had a brain tumor. They operated on her 3 times. Each time the tumor regrew, but the last time in a spot they couldn’t reach. She past away about 2 years after she gave birth to her daughter. The world definitely is not fair.
