Strong and stupid?…
Or weak and smart?
Dear Friend,
Which would you rather be, strong and stupid or weak and smart?
If I had a choice I would be strong and stupid… And by stupid, I mean
REALLY stupid. Stupid enough to not recognize my own
shortcomings. Strong enough to pummel my way through life blindly.
Afterall, as they say, “ignorance is bliss”, right?
Instead, I’ve been born smart enough to see my own weaknesses but not strong enough to rectify them.
Which would you rather be?

What if…
All my worldy posessions had to fit in a shopping cart?
What would I have?
The thought crossed my mind as I watched a homeless man push a shopping cart up a hill in downtown LA. I’m from a small town and now I live in Irvine, where the police pick up the homeless and take them to neighboring cities… Needless to say, I’m not used to seeing homeless.
Anyhow, back to the main topic: What would I take with me if everything I owned had to fit in a shopping cart?
I can barely begin to answer… but here are some of the things I would put in:
- My blanket [it gets cold!]
- Extra underwear
- Jackets
- A pillow [sleeping on the ground is tough]
- A sharpie [for those signs]
- Cardboard boxes [for warmth and signs]
- Any food that I could find
I’ll probably add more to the list as I come up with more things… [I think I still have room haha]

I’m going to culture-ize myself today!
Lan and I are going to MOCA [museum of contemporary art] to see the “Masters of American Comics” exhibit!
We can’t take any pictures while we’re in there, but if you ask nicely, I’ll tell you guys all about it.
In the meantime, my main site (madpimp.com) just had it’s latest relaunch in the last week. Have you been there lately? There’s tons of stuff!

Hey guys, I’m starting a new project called “areYOU.madpimp.com”
and I wanted to let you guys know about it! It’s
basically a ranking system for blogs, myspaces, etc… I’ve always been
curious to see what kind of friend/fanbase has a stronger support [i.e.
Blogs, vs social groups like Friendster].
Since I’m just starting out there are barely any sites on there and I
need to get the word out! Even if you decide to not actively
‘win’ the monthly contest, please sign up and spread the word!
There are going to be prizes at the end of each month for the top
people and possibly random people [I just have to get more prizes
first] — this month’s prize is 1 penny per vote for the #1 person,
with a minimum of a $10.00 payout.

So
I was minding my own business the other day when a _______(n) came up
to me and said he/she (you pick) wanted to ______(v) my ______(n). I
was like, “Whoa there! I don’t even know who you are!” he/she
______ed(v) and said “I’ll _______ it anyway.. for free!” I thought to
myself, hey why not, if I can get a ______(n) for free, I might as well!

Duck Fetuses:
Yeah, I like to eat ‘em.
Dear Friend
So I was watching Fear Factor the other day and they were eating
semi-formed duck fetuses straight from the egg. I couldnt help
but think to myself “SHIT, with some salt and pepper and mint, I’d eat
that shit for FREE”.
In case you didn’t know what it looked like.

“Duck fetuses”
as I like to call them, “hot vit lon” in Viet, or “balot” as filipino
people say, is actually a type of delicassy. I personally love
eating them. Growing up, my parents would buy it on special
occasions and sometimes just for the hell of it, and we’d each eat
about 10 eggs.
Other things that I like to eat that you might find gross are:
- Pig marrow blocks [found in Dim sum and Pho]
- Duck blood jello [eaten with rice cakes and beer]
- Anchovy paste with the full anchovy in it [MY FAVORITE]
Ironically
enough, as much as I love the kind of stuff above, I refuse to eat
cooked carrots. I’d die on Fear Factor if they made me eat a
whole tub of cooked carrots.

Bisexuality:
Is it a greed thing?

I’ve written about bisexuality before, in a humourous manner, but I don’t think I ever really the topic, so I thought today might be a good day.
A blast from the past
Last
night I went to a workshop called “What Women Want” where a bunch of
19-25 year old people sat around in a circle and talked about issues on
sex and the opposite sex.
One of the questions raised was, “Would you ever date a bisexual?”
The general consensus around the room was that bisexuals were greedy.
Now,
I’ve never actually come out and said it [although it says so in any
profile that asks], but I have dated girls in the past. I guess that
makes me a bisexual.
However, I don’t think that makes me greedy — I just happened to like a girl enough to date her.
Misconceptions about the meaning of “bisexual”:
I
think that a lot of people have misconceptions about the word
“Bisexual”. The term in itself somewhat signifies promiscuity because
of the word “bi” itself. I also think a lot of “pansexuals” (those who
are open to anything) tend to call themselve “bisexaul” because it’s a
more accepted term.
Some bisexuals think it’s OK to have a
relationship with a guy and a girl at the same time, because if it’s
not with the same sex it’s not cheating.
Take it from me, it’s cheating.
And I DEFINITELY will not share my boyfriend with another girl.
In
my case, bisexual just means that I happen to date girls sometimes, and
I happen to date guys sometimes.. and though my last two long
relationships have been with guys, if I were to become single again it
wouldn’t be out of the question to date a girl.

Does bisexuality exist?
A
lot of people tell me that bisexuality doesn’t exist in the first
place. That it’s a myth for people who are gay or promiscuous.
While
I’d like to think I’m not promiscuous (I’ve been in 2 long term [2.5
years and 1 year] relationships in the past 4 years), I know I’m
definitely not gay.
I’m just open to the idea.
