i hate them and i don’t think there funny. i don’t use them. because i don;t hang around a certain group of people–i hang out with asians, indians, african americans, caucasians, latinos all kinds of people and i respect thewm enough to not use racist jokes.

Ok… I think that racist jokes are good when said in a loving maror because it helps yo build up your stamina for the real world.Like kids who are sheltered and pampered in their life end up not being able to take it when they grow up. my friends and i crack racists jokes all the time, but only about each other’s races ^^;jokes are meant to be jokes, so i never get too offended, even when some random kid says “ching chong” or something. i just tell them they said something humiliating about themselves ^^i only feel sorry for white folk because they get bashed and called a “racist” for even the slightest misuse of a term or phrase.

Yeah they are touchy. I prefer not to use/say them although once in a while they are funny. Humor is a great way to hide latent racism. It’s the perfect excuse. “What c’mon it’s JUST A JOKE”

all depends on situations…..sometimes they’re funny when the stereotypes they’re going on are completely messed up….and other times they make you want to hit the person….but how else are we going to get along if we can’t laugh at things sometimes….

I’ve been so brainwashed that I don’t feel right telling or hearing racist jokes. It doesn’t help either that I’ve taken enough sociology and poli sci classes to come to the conclusion that racist jokes perpetuate the racial status quo.
But I love to make jokes about my own kind, Asians, especially Korean people. :b

It’s like that episode of family guy when Stewie was going to tell a racist joke about black people but first searched the entire area for one. Then when he was about to tell a joke a black guy appears from the plant next to him. It’s ok as long as it’s about your own race, or if the people around you of that race can take a joke.

It depends on the joke. I’m with you on this one. A lot are funny, if only because it’s stuff we’ve all seen before in real life. But if the joke, or the person who’s telling the joke, is serious or trying to be offensive, that’s where you should draw the line.

Racist jokes are funny… as long as the people being fun of are not in the vacinity; that or they have a good sense of humor. The other caveat is that it shouldn’t be too “crude”… anything too extreme is never funny.
