Uninspired
Inspiration.
Four years ago today I wrote:

i’m the type of person that becomes easily inspired by the people
around me and the people that i’m exposed to. i take what i see and
like in people and try to infuse those qualities in myself. that’s
quite possibly why i’m such a mixed nut. however, i’m not normally the
person that inspires other people.
that’s
why it touches me so much when somebody tells me that i’ve inspired
them. to me, that has got to be one of the most touching compliments in
the world. i mean, it’s like saying that whatever it is that i did that
inspired them, was good enough that they were prompted to do something
similar themselves.
wow. that’s really powerful.
—
there’s lots of people that inspire me. many of which are on the side
right there under ‘linked’. a lot of them are people that have made me
think “wow. i want to be like that”. people that make me feel the need
to become a better person.
i wonder if it’s weird. ^^* probably , huh… but i don’t care!
I was thinking today about how I haven’t been inspired to write lately
because I haven’t really found anything around here [xanga] inspiring
enough to interest me.
But then I realized, why am I waiting and counting on others to do my job for me, when I need to figure shit out by myself?
I mean, what kind of blogger am I that I need other people in order to write?
From tomorrow on, my resolve is to inspire YOU.
Because today I’m not motivated enough to do it.

While I was gone…
I have a baby now!
I got my dream haircut. (Click to see sample)
Cut off 14 inches of my hair.
Donated 12 of those inches.

Adopted the sweetest little boy ever from the pound.
He was really messed up when I first got him home…
But after just a few days he’s already pretty much an angel.
His name? Bobobo Bobo Bobobo. We call him “Bobo”
More later.

I saw this on this site and wanted to spread the news:
***Attention! FREE PUPPIES!***
Take one home today! Before they get sent off to the humane society in a box at 5 am in the morning by the Evil Lord Nosaj.
But seriously…. they are a cute bunch of puppies… and my friend can’t keep all of them. They’re a mix of pit bull and something…. like a shar-pei or boxer or something.
Give them a good home… because if they’re sent off to the humane society… they are given a certain amount of days based on “adoptability”. When their time is up… they get put to sleep.
Average adoptability time of a mixed breed puppy…. 2-4 weeks.
That’s it!! And they’re put down! Boo. Take one home!
I’ll put up better pictures when i get a chance. I think i pissed off the mom barging in an playing with her babies… so i didn’t take anymore pics.

Let this girl know if you want one!

You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting lately. Simply
put, I’ve run out of motivation to post daily. Give me a little
time to get a life, and I’ll come back and tell you guys all about it.
I won’t be gone forever, and I’m not going to stop posting completely.
You may be seeing pictures here and there. I’m getting a
dog from the pound tomorrow. He’s mentally/emotionally damaged
and is going to need tons of time and care.
Thanks for your understanding. Much love.

All Asians are Chinese!
A little bit, anyway
Okay, so in the past few entries I’ve mentioned a couple things: one is the meaning behind my buddhist name “Lien Kim” (golden lotus), and the word love in Japanese (ai) and the background behind the meaning of my username “shi” which means four and death IN JAPANESE.
It also happens to mean all those things in chinese.
And a lot of chinese people have been telling me that those things are Chinese. Someone even asked me if I was SURE that those were the meanings in Japanese.
Excuse me, chinese people, let’s get this straight: ALL ASIAN LANGUAGES HAVE CHINESE INFLUENCES.
Just like European languages have Latin influences, we ALL have similar words with similar meanings.
To me, telling me a word in Japanese or Vietnamese sounds like a Chinese word is pretty much the same as telling me some random word in English comes from a Latin root word.
Uh, yeah. I KNEW that already.
I mean… as much as I don’t like to be called Chinese just because I’m Asian, I know we were all a part of China at some point or another. Come on now. I’ll bet even Eskimo language has words that are similar to Chinese words.
Okay, so let’s say it now:
All Asians are Chinese.
All white people look the same.
All black people look the same.
All mexican people look the same.
All jewish people look the same.
All middle eastern people look the same.
Saying that, take this test and tell me what you get:

I want this as my tattoo
If I ever get one.
I designed this a while back, and have always wanted it as my
tat. It has significance to me because my buddhist name means
“Golden Lotus” (Lien Kim).
Would you ever get a tat? If so, what would you get it of?
